Eagle Cricket Club started the first ever successful youth cricket camp in Massachusetts in 2010 and strongly committed to the identification, development and promotion of local young talent.

About the 2012 Youth Camp:

The coaching camp will have 8 sessions and two friendly games.  The program covers various drills and skills of cricket, including fielding, bowling and batting. Also a significant time will be spent on understanding the rules and equipment, player’s safety and practice time.

The camp will commence from Saturday, June 16 2012 @ 9:00am.

Summer Camp Fees:

Non refundable fee per kid is $60 for the 8 sessions.  The fee includes Club T-shirt.

 

Equipment:

ECC will provide all the basic junior equipment like Cricket Balls, Bats, Batting leg guards, Batting gloves, Wicket Keeping Gloves, Wicket Keeping Pads, Helmets, etc..,. We strongly advice to get an abdomen guard which should be available at the local sports stores.

1. Who are Eagle Cricket Club?
Eagle Cricket Club established in 2002 is one of the most successful Cricket Club in the MSCL. Our club has 2 teams which participate in the state league tournaments. For more details visit our website.

 

2. Who can join the Summer Camp?
The camp is open for age group of 8 – 16 years.
 

3. Why Eagle Cricket Club Summer Camp?
Eagle Cricket Camp staff take their responsibility to be great teachers of the game. We strive to create a positive learning environment that fosters individual growth, while at the same time learning how to be a good teammate. Skill-building is a key component to camp, because without that everything else in the game (batting, bowling and fielding) will be difficult.
 

4. What areas will be covered during these sessions?
It’s a structure program which covers various drills and skills of cricket, including fielding, bowling and batting. Also a significant time will be spent on understanding the rules and equipment, player’s safety and practice time.
 

5. Do you have separate classes for boys & girls?
Currently we are not planning any separate coaching classes for boys & girls. However girls are most welcome to participate in this camp. In future if we have enough students we may consider having separate classes.
 

6. What if the kid misses any of the sessions?
We recommend students to attend all the sessions. However for any reasons if they are unable to attend, we will make every effort to cover some of the sessions during the practice time.
 

7. Is the coaching available in any other locations?
All the sessions will be at ECC home field in Wrentham. At this time we are not planning any sessions outside of this location.
 

8. Will the parents need to be at the camp all the time?
Parents can drop the kids and pick up after the end of each session. However if any parents would like to stay around they can do so.
